Do you want to have the future at your fingertips? Working at the intersection of science, technology, engineering, math, and design, ATB Innovation is looking beyond incremental improvements to what already exists, and imagining and revolutionizing what’s to come. We check traditional disciplines at the door. ATB Innovation works to invent - and reinvent - how we experience technology. With us, you will be tinkering with ideas, products and technologies every day. If you create because it’s a calling, not a job, you’ll be at home in our flexible, open environment.

Interaction Specialist

  • Big ideas are your conversation starter of choice.

  • You mentally reorganize the grocery store - you know they could deliver a better experience.

  • You’ve always got a book on personal development, a podcast on design or a playlist of Ted Talks to go through to keep your skills sharp.

  • Working hard is your life, working smart is your mantra.

This role is for a Interaction Specialist to join our growing innovation team. Understanding the future of technology is core to how you approach your environment. You believe that the screen will eventually be a thing of the past, and are experienced in designing for next generation user interfaces like voice or mixed reality. User experience goes beyond designing web pages and you're an expert on building the solutions of tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research new platforms and technologies and ensure the team is designing for future interfaces

  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for consumers / customers

  • Design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant

  • Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teams

  • Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise our bar for quality

  • Partner with PMs, engineers, researchers, growth marketers, and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch (and then some)

  • Actively drive ideas to prototypes, to MVP, to scale

  • Bring together a comprehensive understanding of UX best practices and information architecture

Specific Skills and Requirements

  • Proven track record of finding, creating and designing exceptional product experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field.

  • 4+ years working as a interaction specialist, interaction designer or UX designer with a focus on voice, VR/AR/MR or an analogous technology

  • Proven ability to work with cross functional teams

  • Advanced skills in design applications as well as office and organizational software (we are a G-Suite company)
